Before I arrived in Canada my boyfriend did some research on the Internet for good hair conditioners as there is nothing worse than being on holiday and having bad hair conditioner that makes your hair greasey and horrible to touch.
The boy done good as he did his research and this is what came out on top. I love any thing Aloe Vera as it is soothing and smells lovely. Tastes delicious too if you have it in a drink and I drank plenty of that when I was in Canada.
84% Aloe Vera in one bottle. All you need is a walnut size amount and spread it across both hands and then massage into the scalp and leave for five minutes. Not sure if you are supposed to leave it in that long but I do. It has a delicate scent and looks a little like mayonnaise.
If you follow me on Instagram, you'll know I've been in Montreal during most of February and it is the first time I have been on a long haul flight with hold luggage in a long time. I usually go on holiday with hand luggage because I am too cheap to pay for hold luggage. This time my airline, Air Canada, provide me with 1 free piece of hold luggage, so I took them up on their offer of 23Kgs.
My boyfriend bought me this facial cleansing pad as a gift as he has noticed my pores are getting worse on my nose. This product is supposed to clean your pores and prevent you from getting anymore black heads, gross I know.
This evening I was taken to montréal's O'Noir restaurant. This translated is black/dark. If you haven't guessed yet, I went to a restaurant that was in complete darkness. In London I think it's called dining in the dark
During my little trip to Lush with blog Beth I picked up the cinders bath bomb. I had heard many things about this bath bomb from YouTube. Some people raved about it and said it was awesome other people weren't so fussed.
I took it with me on holiday to Canada and used it in the bath there. I filled the bath and plopped it in and immediately the water turned a yellow colour like someone had peed in the water. So not a good start really. It was a little off putting. I thought the popping Candy was just on the top of this, but it turns out that it is throughout the bath bomb.
As the bath bomb began to fizz away the yellow part immediately dissolved leaving a small fizzing piece that contained the popping candy that swirled around the bath.
I like the rest of the blogging world love stationary. When in school you would go to the stationary stores, like Stationary Box or Paperchase, to pick up your scented gel pens and a new pencil case every September. You would get to school and borrow each other's pens and pencils. But Stationary Box shut down. There is still Rymans but that's a tad expensive.
On my recent trip to Canada I picked up 3 new note books. The first two I got from H & M for $1.15 not too bad when it works out to be about 60p each.
To Christmas I picked up these items for my mum for the body shop. As a teenager I would go in The Body Shop every 2 weeks or so, but my visits were frequent. I loved the smell of the apple soap and all the little make up bags you could buy. I also liked the soap containers so you could take your soap on holiday with you. I guess they are not so popular now with all the shower gels you can buy and hand sanitisers.
Before Christmas I found out that the large department store Fortnum and Mason produce, grow and sell their our honey from their roof. I wanted to get my mum dad and brother some of this honey, but it is only available in store for about 3 weeks In September. There were other honeys available to purchase but I wanted that one so instead of getting it I picked up these instead. Watch the bees live on the bee cam here you can also book the bee tour from April to august by emailing but check their website for 2014 dates as it is still displaying 2013.
I got my mum some damson jam, my brother some strawberry jam and my dad some pickle. All three looked really good choices and I have them to them on Christmas Day as gifts. I'm not sure if they have tried them yet, but I'd be interested to find out if they are any better than the surf you buy in Tesco's.
I ask myself this question all the time as I have decided that in 2014 I will blog every day without fail. I luckily have not run out of blog post ideas yet and we are into the 1st week of February in full swing.
I have been blogging for over a year now and for some reason, this has never occurred to me but my blog is called Lorilee's London and I am guessing my readers are expecting this to be a blog full of London posts and places/things to see and do in London.
Last autumn or maybe the beginning of winter I scratched my favourite sunglasses of all time and I'm devastated. They were £7.99 from H & M. At first I wasn't so sure because they have this fake leather snake looking pattern as a design around the outside, but over that summer I purchased them the snake pattern grew on me and slowly they became my favourite ever sunglasses.
When the tube goes on strike in London the transport system, which usually runs like a well oiled clock, becomes really congested and people start to flap. Buses and trains get packed and people push and shove. It's exactly what I wanted on a Tuesday morning going to work. Thanks TFL
I do have one thing to say about over crowded trains and buses - people need to clean their teeth in the morning and swish some mouth wash around their mouth before they leave as standing so close to people who all have morning breath makes me want to hide in my coat until I get off and into clean air.
Shaftsbury avenue was grid locked with traffic this evening and buses were packed with people. No one was going anywhere fast.
My mum bought me these a few months ago and I only found them in my bedroom when I was at home at Christmas. I originally thought they were face pads that removes the grease from your face, but it says to dab away excess oil and keep your make up intact.
On January 31st I launching a 1st Blog Birthday give away on my blog. I have seen other bloggers hold give-aways and it seems that the fairest way of picking a winner is letting raffle copter do the choosing.
I received this hand cream in my You Beauty Advent Calendar I received for my birthday in December . This hand cream has slowly become my favourite over my favourite Soap and Glory hand cream. It semells like lemons and flowers, the scent isn't strong and over powering.
For Christmas my brother bought me these cool foxy hand warmers from Boots. My brother thought they were heated gloves, but I discovered that they are heated pouches that you are supposed to insert into your gloves.
