Wednesdays OOTD

I checked the weather last night and it informed me that it was going to rain and rain today so I styled my outfit on weather conditions. I really wish I hadn't as it was pretty hot today. There was a slight bit of rain at 7am this morning but the rest of the day, well as far as I am aware, was blissfully sunny.

Today I wore my baggy Primark jeans, which are supposed to be skinny jeans so they are meant to be tight but they are far from that, with my spotty top. Don't think my shoes quite go, but I put them on in a rush this morning as I got sucked into read blogs on Bloglovin when I should have been getting ready to leave. Also my crimped hair plan did not happen as I ran out of time to do this do and went with a platt instead.

Horse Riding!

My friend from work likes to go horse riding and she competes in competitions. She asked if I wanted to come along to a lesson, of course I wanted to so we set a date and I waited 3 weeks and yesterday was finally the day. I took the train to her house and she the drove us to the stables. I lent her jodhpurs and gloves as its best to look the part and be comfortable. I was told to bring boots with a heel on as your feet sit better in the stirrups then. Well that's why I think I was told to wear those boots.

Stila products in Poundland

A few weeks back I visited my parents back in Wales and took a trip to Poundland. Their Poundland is the biggest one I have been in and have a lot more things available. I went in to find their limited edition nail varnish,

Tuesdays OOTD

Today's OOTD was styled on a balance of what was going on with the weather and my very sore sunburn. It felt cooler this morning so I decided to put my jeans on with my white top as it is loose on the straps. I had my shawl on as the room I work in has air conditioning so I need something to keep my warm. I bought these jeans from Primark and as I have worn them they have stretched around the knees and they don't look as good.

I'm a roller blade generation

This was what came up in conversation with another roller skater last night at the Roller Disco Vauxhaul. This was after she nearly fell over and ran into the rails where I was stood. I thought I am going to use that as a blog title when I get home. The girl that said this had already fallen over and cut her knee but she seemed to be having a great time. This was the card we were given to get into the building. At the entrance everyone's bag is searched and you are then allowed into the building.

Bike riding

Yesterday our neighbours decided to have a party in the communal area. Their music was so loud our front door shook with every beat of the drum. After a few hours of this we decided to go out on our bikes to enjoy some peace and quiet. My view of my bike from where I am sat. I love ringing my bell as I ride. Kit hates it though as its meant to be used as a warning not just to ringing whenever, apparently.

Mondays OOTD

After having a lovely time horse riding and then discovering I got burnt was not pleasant so my outfit today was centred around my sunburn and nothing touching it. I put lots and lots of Aloe Vera cream on and that was soaked up by my skin really quickly. Today I went with a strapless dress and shawl.

My week in pictures #2

This is the second week running that I have done this post. I felt like at the beginning of the week the pressure was on as I had started my week in pictures. However, I forgot about this half way through the week and have ended up with lots of pictures. Here is what happened this week.

Sundays OOTD

today was bike ride day so no matter how glamorous the midwives look in Call The Midwife riding round Poplar on their bicycles in their dresses. I am unable to cycle in a dress because 1 it may blow up and 2 I am bound to get the material stuck in my wheel leading to disaster so today was a shorts day.

Saturdays OOTD

Yesterday was a very busy day and I didn't get to blog anything as I was on the go all day. I met my friend from work at her house and we went horse riding. I had been looking forward to going for weeks and yesterday was the day that I finally got to go on a horse. I wore jeans on the train on the way there but I started to melt and wanted to wear the skirt I had packed in my rucksack.

I had a lot of outfit changes yesterday, I didn't have a photo of me in my jeans and top, but here is my second outfit change. My friend lent me her jodhpurs to ride in and they were surprisingly comfortable as they were skin tight.

Fridays OOTD

Today's OOTD was 50s inspired. I bought this outfit 2 years ago. Wow thinking about that is a long time ago. I bought it as uniform when I worked in Dorothy Perkins. I'm not too sure I should have mixed my gold and silver jewellery. My rule usually is one or the other not both but I broke that today.

I love walking down the flights of stairs in work in my skirt as it flares out and floats. It looks so pretty.

Discovering Hootsuite

Wondering what the hell Hootsuite is?! That was the question I was asking myself a few days ago. Bettybedbug said that she scheduled her tweets and that made me wonder how. I had a rummage around twitter to see where she was able to do this, but as my search proved nothing I asked her. It turns out she uses the app Hootsuite.

Hootsuite is free to download from the App Store and you just have to create an account to login and then allow access to your social networks. This is the layout of Hootsuite for my twitter.

Victoria Secret's Body Spray Review

Back in 2011 I was introduced to Victoria Secret's body spray by a colleague, when I was working in retail. She always smelt like sweet fruit and I asked her what it was she was wearing and she explained. I took a holiday to New York and made sure I picked up some of this spray whilst I was over there because at the time Victoria Secret's did not have a store in the UK and buying from their website and having it shipped internationally was a tad expensive.  Whilst I was there my mum came in the shop with me and she picked up some body butter, this she describes as nothing like any other body butter she has used before and says it's great. The texture is more like jelly but doesn't break like jelly and the smell is super sweet.

Anyway, enough about the back story of how I got into Victoria Secret body spray. Here are the ones I have so far, I bought more but I have used them and thrown the bottles away. I took advantage of the 5 for $25 offer - I also had love spell and my mum had her body butter. I bought love spell because that's what my friend had. I then used up coconut passion my second favourite. I have yet to use the other 2 but they smell just as sweet as the other 2.

My holiday to Lanzarote

A week ago I went on holiday with my dad to Lanzarote for 2 weeks. We stayed in the south of the island in a place called Playa Blanca, which was a 40 minute drive from the airport and a 45 minute drive from the capital city Arrecife.

When we were there we hired a car and stayed in a 4 star all inclusive hotel. We ate nearly every night in the hotel buffet and always for breakfast, but we ate out at lunch more towards the end of the 2 weeks. Eating mostly tapas.

I'm not sure that I could just stay in the hotel for the full 2 weeks on all inclusive as I would have to see the town and experience the local culture, but there were some people at the hotel that did not leave and stayed by the pool from morning till night. These people could be identified from the red sunburn.
Whilst there we did quite a bit and took a ride on the camels, went caving, visited Caesar Manrique's house, visited the beaches, took a Segway ride, and took a bus trip.

It was good having the hire car as you weren't restricted to the hotel and the town where the hotel was. Also we saved a bit of money on bus fairs with travel companies as we drove there.

The pictures below are a montage from my holiday. I will try my best to remember where I saw what.

Today's OOTD

So this post seems to have become a regular feature on here well I say this but I've only done it for about five days but I am enjoying taking my time choosing outfits for my day and OOTD. I took my photographer for lunch and then asked for a photoshoot on the way back to work.

Today's OOTD

Today was really really hot even though there was a thunder storm last night and rain at 8am this morning. Luckily I got to work before it rained so my hair didn't get too messy or my shoes get ruined. I wore this dress as it keeps me cool in the hot weather. I had to sit in an air conditioned room all day so I had a thick cardigan on as I couldn't turn it off.

Todays OOTD

Today has been a busy one. I got up at 6am to be in work for 8 and only managed to sleep at 2am. By about 11am I was ready to crawl under the desk and go to sleep. But I powered on through my day and before I knew it it was 11pm.
I wanted to take today's OOTD picture in the park but my lunch and my boyfriend's lunch weren't at the same time. So on the way home I got him to take a picture on the train. I'm sorry it's not perfect but you can see most of what I'm wearing. I'm not so keen  on my face being so round. I was melting on the train. It honestly felt like they had left the heating on.

My week in pictures #1

I have seen this post done quite a few times on different blogs that I follow and every time I see it I want to see more. Also I had a great response to my 30 day snap in one go post, which is why I have started my week in pictures. Now that I am doing this post I will be more conscious of taking pictures through out the week.

Today's OOTD

Today I took my photographer out with me and found my usual brick wall to stand in front of for an OOTD picture.

I ironed my dress especially for this post, but I'm not sure my superb ironing can be seen that well. I have developed a love of ironing since my stand up ironing board was purchased a few weeks back, but that conversation is for another post.

I picked this dress up in the sale last year from New Look. It was a concession called the People Tree. I think I paid about £24 for the dress in the sale, the original price was about £54.

I thought I would pull this dress from my wardrobe as I haven't worn it in a while and it was a nice enough day just to wear a dress and sandals.

The only downside about this dress is that it's a little short so I won't be wearing it to work any time soon as I have to climb under and over desks to fix problems for editors. It's hardly lady like.

Mickey Mouse Degree to an exciting career

I have been tossing and turning this idea over in my head for a while and wondered whether I should discuss it. When at college I did not really know what I wanted to do, it seemed like the next step was to go to university. I had a really nice time at college, too much fun maybe - I studied Media Studies, Photography, Business and English Literature. At the end of my first year it turned out that Media Studies was my best subject and I decided that I would go to University and study Media and Cultural Studies in Kingston.

What do you do on holiday?

A few weeks ago I was contacted by MoneySupermarket.com to participate in a holiday habits poll. This is the first poll I have participated in and was excited to take part. There were 2 questionnaires that were created, one for couples and the other for families to find out what we get up to whilst on holiday. I filled out the couple questionnaire.

Here are the results below I particularly like the graphics that MoneySupermarket provided me, so colourful and creative, makes the results interesting to read.

I haven't stopped blogging I'm only on holiday

So for the past week I have been soaking up the sun in Lanzarote. I have been here for 9 days now and no day has been the same. I am not sunburnt which is great as there is nothing worse than being painfully sunburnt on holiday and going on tourist buses seeing the sights. There are plenty of lobster legs and panda eyes at this hotel because no one seems to wear sun cream.
